1 ABOUT MICHAEL ANDJELKOVIC JP
Michael Andjelkovic has been a Resident of Liverpool for over 55 years. He was Born, Raised and Educated in Liverpool and he has also raised his family in Liverpool.
Michael is proud to have been born in Liverpool to Immigrant Parents and is of Serbian heritage, growing up on Farms (25 Acre Market Gardens) in Leppington (Now part of Edmondson Park) and Rossmore before moving to Liverpool West, Prestons, Casula and then back to Prestons. He is the 3rd of 5 Generations of his family to call Liverpool Home.
Michael received his education by attending Primary School and High School in the Liverpool Local Government Area (LGA) as well as attending Liverpool TAFE to study certificate IV courses in Management, Accounting, Real Estate in addition Michael undertook Studies in Sales and Marketing, Personal Development, Building and Construction and Project Management.
Michael holds a Diploma in Building and Construction.
He has a wealth of Business experience initially gained from 11 years in the Financial Services and Funds Management Industries and further enhanced with an involvement in the Building and Construction Industry and Project Management Services since 1990.
Michael held various roles from Office Junior to Management, Sales, Marketing and Project Management. He has been employed in Large corporations as well as being Self Employed.
Michael has been active in the Liverpool area where he successfully assisted residents in his area to stop non Complying Development Applications between 2010 and 2014 and is also the Founder and Author of the Car Parking Crisis Petition calling for #MoreParkingNow since March 2018 where he was successful in securing a commitment for 3000 Car parking spaces at Edmondson Park and Leppington Train Stations in December 2019 with the assistance of the Community, 11 Petitions and Mark Latham MLC.
Michael's first involvement in Politics was with a small local Party in 2016 campaigning for Liverpool Council which resulted in having the two of their candidates elected.
Michael seeks to campaign and advocate in the best interests of the local community so that the residents of Liverpool Local Government Area will benefit and the Greater Liverpool Area will be enhanced.
Michael is the Author and the Founder of the Car Parking Crisis Petition at Edmondson Park and Leppington Stations calling for #MoreParkingNow which was started in March 2018 and which secured 2 Multi level car parks with 2000 spaces at Edmondson Park Station and an additional 1000 Spaces at Leppington Station from the NSW Government. I also had discussions with Mark Latham from One Nation who assisted in the lodgement of the Petition in Parliament to achieve 3000 extra spaces between the two stations.
As an advocate for political and social change, Michael is committed to working with the people of Liverpool to ensure that there will be ‘real’ Independent community representation when it comes to the issues that matter such as Education, Transport, Affordable Housing, Healthcare and Infrastructure.
