40 NSW Budget Story + Article Links

The NSW BUDGET is littered with small sweeteners but does it include multi level Carparks at Edmondson Park and Leppington Stations ? The major commitment to increasing transport options in Sydney’s southwest comes as Transport Minister Andrew Constance sings of a $14.4 billion public transport fund across the state.

NO Real commitment from the LIBERAL PARTY

Jul 3, 2018 — Good Morning Fellow Residents, Commuters and Supporters

Greetings from Barcelona Airport (waiting for my Flight back to Belgrade Serbia)

Well a bit has happened over the last two weeks or so with the NSW State Budget being brought down and I am Disappointed but NOT Surprised that there has been No real Commitment from The NSW Liberal Government to provide Multi Level Parking at Edmondson Park or Leppington Stations.

AFTER the Photo Opportunity Stop by the NSW Premier with Holsworthy MP Melanie Gibbons where it was hinted that this issue of Edmondson Park Station would be addressed there is only a paltry $150,000 commitment to look into the matter from the NSW Berijiklian Liberal Government. IN MY OPINION this is just a stalling tactic with the Goverment buying time before the state Election in March 2019 and trying to put the issue of Multi Level Car Parks at Edmondson Park Station on the Backburner and I haven't heard a thing about Leppington Station.

Compared to the Election promise of $18 Million by Luke Foley and the Labor Party to build a Multi Level Carpark at Ed Park it really doesn't compare. But I would still like to know how many spaces $18 million will buy.

BOTH Parties have ignored LEPPINGTON Station at this stage although there was and announcement that Bill Shorten and Federal Labor would be funding an new Line from Macarthur to St Marys and would be setting aside funds for more carparking (I would like to see more details).

The Committee on Transport and Infrastructure report for May 2018 showed quite clearly that Edmondson Park and Leppington were not being considered - See link below for a copy of Report 3/56 tabled on the 22nd May 2018 to the NSW Legislative Assembly.

4000 Car Parking Spaces are to be provided to 5 stations in the North west Sector and 900 Car Parking Spaces on the Northern Beaches but nothing about Edmondson Park or Leppington.

HAS ANYONE heard any announcements from Chris Patterson MP for Camden OR Tanya Davies MP for Mulgoa about Leppington Station?

Paul Lynch had an article written up in the Liverpool Leader on the 26th June 2018 where he was criticaal of the NSW State Governments (lack of) Plans for #MoreParkingNow.

It looks like the Car Parking Crisis Campaign will have to Continue until we get the desired outcome.

I would ask everyone to find out which State Electorate they are in by going to and checking thier Locality list and then find out who your local State MP is.

IF You haven't already done so please keep sharing the Video clips, the Pictures and Posts about the Car Parking Crisis - They are ALL on my Page www.facebook.com/Michael.Independent/

Write a Letter to the Editor of the Local Paper. Email your Local MP and tag #MoreParkingNow in facebook posts.

Don't Complain - CAMPAIGN.

Yours Sincerely
