Meeting with Chris Minns plus May Update

Apr 30, 2021 —

Good Morning Fellow Residents, Commuters and Petition Supporters

It’s disappointing but not unexpected my emails from March about extending the South West rail link instead of the St Mary’s Metro line have been ignored. Apart from a quick chat with Chris Minns (Shadow Minister for Transport) at a Community meeting No replies to my emails from March have been received.

At the Community meeting that I was part of on the 9th of April 2021 with Shadow Minister for Transport Chris Minns MP I was fortunate to be able to briefly discuss a few issues.

Chris Minns MP is the member for Kogorah and Shadow Minister for Transport and is the latest Labor MP to meet with a group of residents and representatives of landowners from the Bringelly area regarding the impact of the Airport rezoning.

Topics included · The impact of green-space zoning on Landowners. · The St Mary's Metro link and land acquisition. · The South West rail link from Leppington Station to Western Sydney. · Road Access to the new Western Sydney Airport.

This was a preliminary meeting prior to another residents rally to be held in the near future.

It's important that Chris Minns visit the area as he may be the next opposition leader depending on the results of the By Election in the Hunter Valley on the 22nd May 2021. Edmondson Park Station Update – May 2021 During May, the following work will occur on the new multi-storey car park: • Continuation of concrete pours for the suspended concrete slabs for level four • Construction of load bearing walls and columns • Construction of stairs and lift cores • Installation of perimeter scaffold on level four • Plumbing and electrical work within the building • Removal of formwork from lower floors Leppington Station Update – May 2021 During May, the following work will occur on the new multi-storey car park: • Continuation of concrete pours for the suspended concrete slabs • Construction of load bearing walls and columns • Construction of stairs and lift cores • Installation of perimeter scaffold on level four • Plumbing and electrical work within the building • Removal of formwork from lower floors Hopefully Leppington Station Multi Level Carpark will be finished soon, however Edmondson Park Station Carpark started a bit later so it still has a few more months to go and then there is the Northern Multi Level Carpark to be built at Edmondson Park which will hopefully be completed in 2022 ( or perhaps early 2023 just in time for the next State Election?). I will keep you informed of any further developments or Progress regarding this campaign. You can also follow me on my Facebook page Yours Sincerely
