Sunday 18th July 2021 - A Review of Lock down Orders

Good Morning Community

After the announcement by Premier Gladys Berejiklian on Saturday morning the 17th July 2021 at 11am of the above Lock down regulations there was a lot of confusion about who can work and where people can travel to and for what reason.

By Saturday evening the Health Orders were finally published that provide a bit more information.

The announcement has been changed from Saturday morning where only Emergency Workers could go to work. to Saturday night it where it was advised that "Critical Workers" could go to work however the flaw in the system is that there is no definition of who / what is a CRITICAL worker (as of last Night).

I received this information this morning - IF you are on this list of occupations, you can leave the Liverpool, Fairfield or Canterbury Bankstown LGA's for work. Please only do so if your work cannot be done from home. You will need to have a Covid test every 72 hours if you do leave your Local Government Area and you will need to have proof of your test with you. . https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/rules/authorised-workers?fbclid=IwAR10iUfkCCfxUtQKWOmOmMykN2qvXMJ22QumOoIP0ykP3hyi3zRusRjEb3o

This is good news for many people in the 3 affected LGA's. Also People from outside the 3 LGA's will be able to come into the area although why they don't require C19 testing every 3 days remains a mystery to me. The Building and Construction industry will be hard hit with the "building Pause" at such short Notice. Having been associated with the Industry for 25 years I don't think the people making decisions have any idea what it takes to shut down and secure building sites. It will certainly take many building companies longer than the 48 hours that the government have given to do a proper job.

Hopefully at the 11am Conference today there will be further clarification regarding a few outstanding issues. I will continue to provide any information that comes to hand in order to provide further clarification. Yours Sincerely Michael Andjelkovic JP
